What a workflow is

A workflow is a fixed list of named steps, each with a person. When a client uploads to a Lock with a workflow, the first person gets it. When they press Done, it goes to the next person, and so on until the last step completes it.

For example, Membership: Mary checks the application, Peter creates the card, Tim sends it out. Everyone can see who has each upload and for how long; the client sees “1 of 3 steps done” on their tracking page.

• Each person is told at the top of their messages and by email.
• Anyone can see the step and who has it on the upload card.
• Workflows are part of the Premium plan. Uploads already in a workflow can still be finished after a downgrade.

Open them from ☰ menu → Workflows (owners and admins).
