Choosing and keeping the Lock password

The Lock password is turned into the key that decrypts the Lock’s uploads, in your browser. It is never sent to Renvelock, so Renvelock cannot reset it or open your files.

• Use Generate a strong password, or at least 12 characters that are not your company name or Lock code.
• Save it in your company password manager, where colleagues who work on the Lock can find it.
• Give Locks with more sensitive documents their own password.
• Your Renvelock account password is different: it only signs you in. See Forgotten your account password.
