What is a Lock?
A Lock is a secure upload link. Anyone with the link can send you files, and only your team can open them, using the Lock's password. You can make one for each customer, or a general one for a kind of document, such as "Health records". You can also put a Lock's link on your website, so anyone can send you files such as business proposals.
Which features are on the free plan?
Starter includes smart forms, encryption, PDF and encrypted offline packages, the activity log, pins, flags and customer tracking links. Standard adds team access. Premium adds assigned workflows. Paid plans also increase storage, retention and the number of Locks.
Can I upgrade later?
Yes. Start on Starter and upgrade from billing settings anytime.
What counts as an upload?
One submission from a customer: up to 100 files and 500 MB in total. Each Lock holds up to 1,000 uploads on every plan. Deleted and expired uploads don't count.
Is there a per-file charge?
No. There is no limit on the number of uploads across your account, only on storage. Each plan includes a set amount of storage, a monthly download allowance and a number of Locks.
How long are files kept?
72 hours on Starter, 30 days on Standard and 3 years on Premium, counted from each upload. After that the upload is deleted. To keep records longer, download an offline package: a single encrypted file you can store yourself and open with your Lock password.
What happens if we run out of storage or downloads?
Nothing is deleted. New uploads pause when storage is full until you delete old uploads or upgrade. Downloads pause when the month's allowance is used, until the next month. Owners get an email at 80% of the download allowance.
Do customers pay to upload?
No. Only your business needs a subscription.
Who handles payment details?
Stripe. We never see your card number or billing address.
